Volunteer Education and Recruitment: >
Information on palliative care volunteer education and recruitment.

Grant MacEwan College Post-Basic Nursing Practice: Hospice Palliative Care/Gerontology certificate program: >
Grant MacEwan Community College offers a distance learning program, for registered nurses, designed to provide knowledge and skill for coordinating and providing quality care for the terminally ill.

Palliative Care Friday Rounds: >
Presentation of topics pertinent to palliative care, held at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital and Health Centre on Fridays at 0830 AM.

Palliative Medicine Residency and Fellowship: >
One year program of added competence in palliative medicine.

Buddy Day with Regional Palliative Care Community Team: >
Opportunity for a Home Care Nurse to spend a day with a Consultant from the Community team.

Pain and Symptom Workshop: >
One-day workshop on assessment and management of pain, nausea, constipation, anorexia/cachexia, dyspnea, delirium, and emergencies in palliative care; and when and how to use palliative sedation. At the end of the day, you are invited to share a case from your own clinical practice for the group to review.
