Residency in Palliative Medicine

 

The Division of Palliative Care Medicine, Department of Oncology, University of Alberta is offering a fully funded one-year Program of Added Competence in Palliative Medicine. The program is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and is open to physicians who have completed requirements for certification by either of the Colleges. Clinical experiences will include a specialist palliative care unit, consultation services in the home, hospices, and acute care hospitals, and outpatient clinics. The trainee will also participate in a didactic program and complete a scholarly project. Applications are now being accepted for the 2005-2006 academic year.
