Becoming A Volunteer

Requirements

In order to become a volunteer with the Edmonton Zone Palliative Care Program, one needs to meet the following requirements:

  • › 18 years of age or older
  • › successfully completed a screening process which includes an interview with the Coordinator of Volunteers
  • › completion of a Palliative Care Volunteer Training Course
  • › agreement to a minimum time commitment, depending on the site

If you meet the above criteria, please contact the facility for whom you are intending to volunteer.

The screening process will be conducted by the facility of your choice, after which you will be referred for a palliative training course.
